New Home Listed in Menomonee Falls
While I list a lot of different homes, today I listed something a little different. The basics sound pretty basic; a Menomonee Falls ranch house with three bedrooms, one full bath, one half bath, and a 2.5 car garage. If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. Right..?
Wrong. Sometimes I meet a homeowner who does things radically different. Shady Lane is a fine example.
This seller took the time to style his small home with elegance. Normally I only start seeing this level of thought over the $500k mark, if I even see it at all. The living and dining rooms are absolutely wonderful places to relax and dine. It’s great to see a home where the owner put some time and thought into design. The kitchen is stupendous and unlike anything I’ve seen in a Falls ranch. Everybody does granite. Granite is certainly good, but marble is just so rarely seen and beautiful. The last time I saw true marble counter-tops were earlier this year on a trip to Miami Beach. (Yes, even when we’re on vacation, Realtors look at houses. Miami Beach to Menomonee Falls, who would have thought..?) Instead of stopping there, the owner continued the beauty of the marble with wonderful glass and marble backsplashes. The bedrooms are simple and tranquil affairs. Both bathrooms are more than ample and are nicely done. The full bathroom’s vanity is new, too!
Then there’s the basement. While the rec room is already nicely done, see a lot of potential to make it into even more. The seller also added a small room for their son in the back as a play room! It’s not only a private space for the child, but it keeps the mess and noise from the rest of the house!
The location is great too. The home is close to I-41/US-41, downtown Menomonee Falls, Main Street, and Appleton Avenue. Village Park and North Middle School are just a short walk. It’s just as easy to go south on Shady to reach Aurora Advanced Healthcare and the Tri-County YMCA. The new owner is convenient to plenty of shopping; Costco, Best Buy, Target, Kohl’s, Mills Fleet Farm, Home Depot, Menard’s, a Wal-Mart Super Center, Steinhafels, Planet Fitness, a Dollar Tree, CVS, the public library, a Piggly Wiggly, a Quiktrip, a Speedway, a Starbucks, the post office, and the Marcus Menomonee Falls Cinema are all within 10-15 minutes.
