Snack Attack: Madeleines from Las Vegas
It’s always tough returning to the office after time away! One of the last things I saw on Friday before hopping on the plane was a recipe posted by the Bellagio – Las Vegas. Their description says it all: “A delicious Madeleine from Jean Philippe Patisserie that you can now make at home!”
For the record, the Jean Philippe Patisserie in the Bellagio is one of the first places I go to relax and enjoy amazing food when I’m in Vegas.
I also have a thing for Madeleines.
Ingredients
All Purpose Flour – 1 cup + 3/4 cup
Baking Powder – 2.5 teaspoon
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Eggs – 4
Warm Butter – 1/2 cup
Water – 1/2 cup
Lemon Zest – 2
- Mix the eggs, sugar and lemon zest together.
- Add the sifted baking powder and the flour to the egg mixture.
- Add the warmed butter and water, mix all together.
- Put dough in refrigerator for 5 hours.
- Bake at 420 F for 9-10 minutes
